Best Possible Care Awards 2018

The NGH Choir were incredibly humbled to be invited back to sing for the opening of the NGH's 2018 Best Possible Care Awards. Held at the Park Inn, Northampton, this event is always a favourite of the hospital and this year was even more exciting as a member of the choir, Karen, had been nominated for the 'Unsung Hero' award.

The choir were dressed up in their best suits and dresses, excitedly waiting for the start of the awards. After a quick run through with our band, we went back to the waiting room whilst the guests found their seats. We were announced by Sonia Swart, Chief Executive of NGH, and processed into the hall ready to sing. This event is always a scary one for us, after all singing in front of colleagues is always quite intimidating. But... we absolutely knocked it out of the park!! By the end of our last song the audience were clapping along and we were smiling from ear to ear!

The biggest praise we received was from Sonia herself, who said the choir were 'the best they have ever sounded' - wow! Now to our 70th Birthday Concert... keep your eyes and ears peeled, it's going to be AMAZING!
