MUSICAL DIRECTOR
In April 2017, we were delighted to welcome local musician Jessica Smith as our Musical Director. Jessica grew up in Northamptonshire as a Chorister at All Saints Church Northampton and fellowship winner at Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust. During her childhood, Jessica was one of the youngest members of the Main Choir of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and in 2008 was selected as a finalist in BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year Competition. Jessica continued her musical education at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she was a Choral Scholar with the acclaimed Chapel Choir, recording solos on the Hyperion label and performing alongside artists such as The Kings Singers and Dame Felicity Lott. During her studies, Jessica was also a Choral Scholar at St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square, and performed on numerous Radio 3 and 4 live broadcasts and recorded on discs for the jazz musician, Will Todd. Jessica is an alumna of The Sixteen's competitive training scheme Genesis Sixteen and received training from Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan.
