The lovely Lesley in our choir invited us to come and sing at St Crispin's Retirement Village for our May concert. We were looking forward to singing here and sharing the new songs that we had been learning with the residents. Wow - did this place exceed our expectations!

What a fantastic place this village is!! We were bowled over by the lovely facilities - even palm trees in the lobby, who would have thought it! We warmed up in the little room by the Village's concert hall ready to perform. Our accompanist, Kay, managed to get a little lost on the way to the venue and Jess' partner had to direct her back to the Village arriving at a neat 6.57 for the 7pm concert. Just in the nick of time!

We walked into the bar area where the residents were relaxing on their sofa chairs with a few drinks. It was a fantastic atmosphere that we really enjoyed performing in. The residents listened, cheered, applauded, sang along, and even began dancing at one point. A really brilliant evening for the choir and we were delighted to raise and impromptu £51 for the hospital too! We look forward to returning back here to sing again soon.

Above is a photo of us relaxing underneath one of the village's palm trees after our concert.
